DICOM de-identification

The engine is compiled to WebAssembly and runs inside the browser tab. Files are read, processed and written back locally, so there is no server-side copy of a study to account for later.

Common questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in the page, and no part of a study is sent over the network.
Which profile does it apply?
The Basic Profile from DICOM PS3.15 Annex E. Identifiers are removed or replaced, and UIDs are remapped consistently so a study stays internally coherent.
Does it remove text burned into the image?
Pixel data is handled separately from tags, because scrubbing tags does nothing to a name printed into a frame. Review the output before you rely on it.
